The Time Magazine mentioned Ruto’s call for lenders to relieve the debt burden faced by some African countries, thus opening the door for spending on climate solutions as one that has made waves.
Ruto emerged as a key voice of Africa’s climate ambitions and recognised for hosting climate summit in Nairobi last September, which drew leaders from around the globe.
Mary J Blidge,Yulia Navalnaya, Patrick Mahomes and Taraji P Henson among other celebrities have also been named as 100 world most influential people.
