Joho and Oparanya have both seen the writing on the wall. They know that the only person who made them relevant in ODM is no more and their hold in ODM is gone. During Jirongo’s burial, Oparanya openly declared that he was ready to join his Luhya leaders in forming a Party that will bring the Luhya’s together. On the other hand, Joho’s supporters have come out openly demanding for him to be made the Party leader knowing very well that is an impossible task. These two leaders know that their time in ODM is over and for them to remain relevant, they have to chat a new path. Joho has already started working on his Coastal Party which will have him as the Party leader. Oparanya’s age is not on his side and is considering playing the role Atwoli has been playing in Luhya politics. When all is said and done, these two have no place in ODM and their exit is imminent.
