Sad Incident At MMUST Ahead Of Graduation

Students at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) have expressed frustration over what they describe as administrative incompetence in the lead-up to next week’s graduation ceremony.

Graduates report that gown distribution, originally scheduled for last week, has been delayed, leaving some without gowns and academic caps just days before the ceremony.

Many describe the situation as unfair and disorganized, calling on the university to urgently address the shortages and ensure all graduates are properly equipped for the event.

“Hello sir, hide my identity. So I am a student at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology and we are supposed to graduate next week Friday. So I want to report the incompetence in that school. We were to collect our gowns early last week; they then postponed it to this week, so today being a Friday, some have not been issued their gowns, and some are missing the academic caps. They are claiming that the gowns they received have not met the standards they wanted. Mind you, this is something they knew. That on 5th Dec we are going to have a ceremony for the graduates. Plus, during the clearance process, they couldn’t clear you without paying Ksh6,500 for the gown. Yaani, this country is messed up right from the University with their empty promises. Please post it for me and many others who are silent. MMUST, we want our gowns.”
