Key suspect in the murder at Shiners Boys High School, a Sudanese student who allegedly fled to Nairobi overnight after fatally stabbing a classmate in Nakuru County, arrested alongside three accomplices after being lured back by the school principal.
He was subsequently found with rolls of bhang in his possession, according to Gilgil Sub-County Commander Winstone Mwakio, who added that the suspect, previously expelled from Woodley Secondary School in Kibra due to disciplinary issues, is now facing further investigation by the DCI alongside three accomplices in custody who are expected to testify as witnesses in the case.
School principal John Mwangi confirmed that the tragic incident took place after dinner on Saturday when a violent confrontation broke out in the dormitory.
Despite swift intervention, the victim, Ngugi Muciiri, was found fatally stabbed, with severe internal injuries.
The incident is believed to have stemmed from a dispute after the suspect returned to school following a suspension, during which they allegedly found their personal belongings destroyed.
