Riziki Cherono Is Likely To Spend The Rest Of Her Life In Prison

Riziki Cherono is likely to spend the rest of her life in prison after the High Court in Mombasa established that she has a case to answer for the murder of her 55-year-old Dutch husband.

Riziki planned the murder of her husband after learning of his plans to divorce her. Her main aim was to remain with the properties owned by her husband, which included houses and big clubs in Mombasa.

Riziki paid thugs KSh 1,000,000 to kill her husband in 2021. She wanted to make the case look like a robbery. On the day the murder happened, the thugs stormed their house, killed the security guard, entered the house, chained the husband and demanded the safe password. They got away with KSh 3,000,000.

Riziki, together with the thugs, left the house and, on Riziki’s instructions, they tied her inside a Probox, which they took from the house, in a nearby place to make it look like Riziki had been abducted.

The police were called, and they started their investigation. Riziki having no injuries raised suspicion, and that is when they decided to investigate her phone. The detectives established that Riziki had been in communication with the thugs, leading to the thugs being arrested.

Riziki is a mother of two. One child belonged to her husband, and surprisingly, the court found out that the second child belonged to her husband’s brother. The court also established that Riziki was once married to her husband’s brother.
