Morning Word: Growing Stronger

Ps David Kaluba

There was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David. But David grew stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul grew weaker and weaker.
2 Samuel 3:1 (AMPC)

Growth is a necessary part of our lives. We should all be growing in our lives in different aspects of our involvement. However, the direction of growth is very important. We see that Saul was growing weaker. It is not a welcome growth when the kind of growth is negative. We all should be growing in the positive direction.

Our lives are full of fights. The fights can make you stronger or weaker. The longer the fights take, the more it is likely to work against you. You need to assess fights before engaging in them. Do not engage in fights that have no benefits and those you know you are likely to lose.

The fight between King Saul and David took longer. As the fight continued, Saul was growing weaker and David was growing stronger. The direction of growth was good for one and bad for another.

You need to be growing stronger in your fights. You need to grow stronger in the Lord and in the power of His might. You need to be growing in your understanding of life. You need to be growing in wisdom, knowledge and favor. This growth should also be seen in the physical things you do and acquire.

Your growth should also be in your career, influence, position and character. You should also grow in finances as well as in your family. Growth is required. Anything that does not grow positively is a concern.

If you don’t grow stronger, you will faint in the middle of challenges.

If you faint in the day of adversity, Your strength is small.
Proverbs 24:10(NKJV)

May you grow stronger than your enemy.

Prayer

I pray that you will grow stronger and not weaker. As you fight your good fights of faith, I pray that your faith will not be weak but will be strong. I pray that you will grow stronger in knowledge, wisdom and good health in Jesus’ Name.
Amen and Amen.
