Government Boosts Education With 443 New Desks For Lusaka Central Schools

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Member of Parliament for Lusaka Central Constituency, Honourable Mulambo Haimbe, has reiterated the President’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the quality of education in schools.

Speaking at a handover ceremony of 443 desks distributed to four deserving schools, the lawmaker reaffirmed the government’s dedication to improving the learning environment by ensuring that every student has access to proper classroom furniture.

“These desks will support learners across the four schools, providing each student with a more conducive and comfortable environment. This will enhance focus and help learners reach their full potential,” Hon. Haimbe said.

At the same event, Area Councillor Mr. Kosamu Tembo encouraged students to seize this opportunity to realize their potential, urging them to care for and protect the desks.

District Education Standards Officer, Dr. Nathan Kasune expressed his gratitude to the government for its ongoing commitment to improving educational standards, highlighting the critical role desks play in creating better learning conditions.

The distribution of desks was as follows: Chibelo Primary School received 122 desks, Kabulonga Boys Secondary School 100, Chainda Primary School 121, and Chisenga Alumbwe Primary School 100 desks.
