The Next 48 Hours Could Decide Whether This Conflict Escalates Even Further

President Donald Trump has given Iran a 48‑hour deadline to fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz or make a deal, warning that the U.S. will “obliterate” Iranian power plants and key energy infrastructure if Tehran refuses.

Iranian officials have already warned that if such strikes happen, energy infrastructure and key economic sites linked to the U.S. and its allies across the Gulf could become targets in return.

This is what makes the moment so dangerous. One deadline. One refusal. And the entire crisis could move into a much darker phase.
