The Chinese government has expressed deep concern over the escalating violence between Pakistan and Afghanistan, urging both sides to agree to an immediate ceasefire.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning called on the two countries to prevent further deterioration, warning that continued clashes could spiral beyond control.
The statement follows intense border fighting that erupted earlier this week. Beijing views the escalation as a threat to regional stability in South Asia and a potential risk to ongoing economic cooperation projects.
China reaffirmed its readiness to support peace efforts and urged both nations to resolve their disputes through dialogue rather than military force.
