DCI Joins Multi-Agency Outreach In Rarieda

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has joined other government agencies in a government outreach program in Rarieda Constituency, Siaya County, aimed at expanding access to essential public services.

The two-day initiative, themed “Service Delivery to the People”, led by Attorney General Hon. Dorcas Oduor, brought essential government services directly to the community, reinforcing the government’s commitment to inclusive and people-centred service delivery.

Residents accessed critical services, including legal aid, medical consultations, birth and death registration, social protection programs, housing support, voter registration, and essential DCI services, such as the issuance of Police Clearance Certificate (PCC), formerly known as Certificate of Good Conduct.

The DCI also took the opportunity to showcase its specialised units, reinforcing its commitment to community engagement and public awareness. This highlighted the DCI’s dedication to fostering safer communities and strengthening trust between citizens and law enforcement.

Attorney General Oduor reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that every Kenyan enjoys access to justice, health, and dignity. She noted that true service delivery is defined by its impact on ordinary citizens, adding, “Service delivery is about people, their needs, their rights, and their dignity.”

Dr. Ouma Oluga, the Principal Secretary of Medical Services, commended the strong inter-agency collaboration that made the exercise successful and called for sustained partnership among state actors to make public service more efficient, accessible, and responsive to citizens’ needs.
