According to Tanzanian law, presidential election results cannot be challenged in court. President-elect Samia Suluhu is now only awaiting her swearing-in ceremony.

Article 41 of the Constitution of Tanzania (1977) stipulates that once the Electoral Commission declares a winner, the decision is final, as “no court of law shall have any jurisdiction to inquire into the election of that candidate.”
