Atletico Madrid lodged an official complaint with UEFA against Arsenal due to a lack of hot water at the Emirates Stadium during their training session on Monday, ahead of a Champions League match.
The issue, which persisted from 6:45 pm to 7:15 pm, forced Atletico players to return to their hotel to shower. Arsenal acknowledged the problem, restored hot water by 7:25 pm, and apologized. Atletico, currently 10th in the Champions League, face Arsenal, who are joint-top with two wins.
Arsenal’s manager Mikel Arteta praised Atletico’s coach Diego Simeone for his 14-year tenure and the team’s strong identity, expecting a tough match. Atletico’s Julian Alvarez also recognized Arsenal’s strength, citing their great coach and players.
