Iran has opened a new military training site in Tehran as tensions with the United States and Israel remain high.
The facility, inaugurated on October 3, is part of a voluntary national defense program allowing civilians to receive military training, including weapons training.
Military drills were demonstrated at the site, while commanders inspected rocket launchers and air defense systems during the opening.
The move comes as Tehran faces renewed concerns over possible U.S. military action and has been preparing for the possibility of another escalation.
Iran has not officially stated that the training center was established specifically to prepare for a U.S. ground invasion.
