Uganda President has directed the appointment of former BBC journalist Alan Kasujja as chief of the state’s Media Centre. Kasujja left the BBC in August, 2025. He was the lead presenter on its World Service Newsday & hosted its Africa Daily podcast.

He is the new Government spokesperson replacing Ofwono Opondo who resigned in April 2025 to pursue elective politics, he will be the MP for the elderly, waiting to swear in

Truth be told Opondo did the work, I like how he defended the government even when it was clear the government was in wrong.
