Several terrorists were gunned down by a multi-agency security team while attempting to enter the country through the Kenya-Somalia border.

The well-coordinated attack and swift action by the specialised officers prevented a potential threat to the country’s national security, restoring calm along the ever-risky border.

A statement by the Counter Terrorism Policing Kenya on Sunday, November 30, revealed that the militants attempted to breach the border under the cover of darkness.
However, the specialised officers deployed on the Kenya-Somalia border quickly detected the unusual activity early before the militants entered the country.

The multi-agency team, consisting of officers from the counter terrorism department, intercepted the suspected terrorists and gunned them down, killing all of them on the spot.
