The United Opposition has dismissed both Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga’s remarks and his apology.

Spokesperson Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi emphasizes that the comments undermine unity efforts; adding that leaders must be held to higher standards of conduct.

Kituyi also says Governor Kahiga was elected on the UDA Party ticket and so his statement should be condemned by all Kenyans, starting with his UDA Party Leaders.
