Former President Uhuru Kenyatta stood in solidarity with a grieving nation as he joined thousands of Kenyans at the Kasarani Stadium for the public viewing of the body of the late Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, which now lies in state. It was a poignant moment, as citizens from all walks of life gathered to honor the memory of a man whose life and legacy helped shape Kenya’s democratic journey.
Earlier in the day, Mr. Kenyatta had accompanied President William Ruto and other national leaders at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for the solemn state reception of the late Premier’s remains, which arrived from India, where he had been receiving medical treatment.
