From Rejection After Rejection to Serving in the Military

Getting a job in Kenya is not a walk in the park. Anyone who has ever attended a mass recruitment, whether for teachers, civil servants, or the military, knows the frustration. The field is usually packed with young men and women, all hopeful, some even desperate, all trying their best to meet the physical and academic requirements. But truth be told, without the right β€œconnections” or money to bribe, many of us from humble backgrounds barely stood a chance.

I know this story too well because I lived it. I come from a very poor background. My grandmother raised me after my parents passed away, and every day she reminded me that education and hard work were my only way out. After finishing school, I pinned my hopes on the military because it was stable, respected, and I knew if I ever got in, my life, and hers, would change forever.

The first time recruitment was announced, I applied, showed up early, and stood in that long line under the scorching sun. I watched others get picked while my name was never called. I told myself maybe next time. But the same story repeated itself, over and over. Every year, I went, gave my best, only to return home disappointed. At some point, I started believing that maybe jobs were only for the β€œconnected” and not for people like me.

The shame was unbearable. Relatives mocked me, neighbors laughed at me, and my grandmother would sometimes cry silently in her corner, wondering how long I would continue living hopelessly. It was painful watching her suffer in poverty because of me.

Then came the turning point. I heard about another round of mass military recruitment. A friend whispered to me about Dr. Bokko, a man known to help people succeed where everything else had failed. At first, I doubted, because we are always told that such things don’t work, but deep down I knew I had nothing to lose. I decided to visit him for a job spell before presenting myself again at the recruitment field.

That decision changed everything.

When the day came, I carried myself with confidence I had never felt before. The energy, the aura around me, everything was different. As I stood in line, I felt an unexplainable assurance that this time, things would not end in disappointment. And true to my belief, I was not only shortlisted, but I was also selected to proceed further. For the first time in years, my name was called. I couldn’t believe it.

Fast forward to today, I am proudly serving in the military. My life has completely turned around. I live comfortably, I no longer depend on handouts, and above all, I managed to change the life of my grandmother, who sacrificed everything for me. I built her a decent house, ensured she receives the best medical care, and she now walks with pride, telling everyone how her grandson made it.

Sometimes I look back at those days of rejection, the humiliation, the tears, and I break down, not because I am sad, but because I know how far I’ve come. If it were not for the job spell I received from Dr. Bokko, I would probably still be roaming from one recruitment to another, wasting time and energy, watching life pass me by.

I now know one thing for sure, hard work alone is never enough. The world is cruel, and sometimes you need spiritual help to unlock doors that stubbornly remain closed. If you are tired of rejection, tired of watching opportunities slip through your fingers, and tired of suffering while others succeed, then it’s time to make that bold step like I did.

Don’t let rejection define your destiny. Protect your future and secure your success. Reach out to Dr. Bokko today and let his job spell open the doors you have been waiting for.
