The Nairobi governor Hon Johnson Sakaja was expected to appear before the accounting committee today on 8th April 2024. According to the letter which was shared on the social media platforms by the Nairobi senator Hon Edwin Sifuna, it is revealed that the governor will be leaving the country today and therefore the meeting should be scheduled on a later date. “My Governor was supposed to be before the Public Accounts Committee of the Senate this morning to discuss the Auditor Generals Reports for the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 Financial Years. They are both ADVERSE reports. 2022-2023 too”, Nairobi senator Hon Edwin Sifuna said.
