Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen says Road Accidents Shouldn’t Be Blamed On his Term In Office.

Murkomen reiterates that dealing with excessive loss of lives through road accidents needs collective responsibility from all Kenyans.

He says since independence the trend has been in existence, adding that a lack of money to support the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) and traffic police is a major contributor to the menace.

Murkomen further says that since independence, a serious strategy to curb deaths is yet to be realised saying the national catastrophe must not be blamed on his term in office.

He says motorists do not obey traffic rules, hence the increase in road carnage, adding that technological solutions and instant fines shall soon be in place to serve as a deterrence.
