This experience taught me the importance of remaining calm under pressure and having a systematic approach to problem-solving.”

Answer: “I approach tight deadlines by breaking the project down into manageable tasks and prioritizing them based on urgency and importance. Communication is also key – I make sure to stay in touch with stakeholders to provide updates and adjust expectations if necessary. For example, when I worked on the emichem.co.tz website, I had a strict seven-day deadline. I structured my time effectively, worked long hours when needed, and collaborated with the client to ensure the project was delivered on time without compromising quality.”

Answer: “I manage stress by staying organized and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. When I’m faced with a challenging project, I break it down into smaller tasks and tackle them step by step, which helps reduce overwhelm. I also take short breaks to clear my mind, and I stay active outside of work by engaging in activities like jogging, which helps me decompress. I also make it a point to tackle the more challenging or time-sensitive tasks earlier in the day when I’m most focused. Regularly checking in with team members and stakeholders helps me stay aligned with project goals and deadlines.”

For instance, I developed the website emichem.co.tz during a contract in Tanzania, delivering a user-friendly and responsive design. I’ve also worked on my personal site milton.co.ke, where I manage content, integrate Google Analytics, and optimize for SEO. My focus has always been on creating functional, responsive, and visually appealing websites that meet client requirements.”
13. What was your role in maintaining IT infrastructure at KMTC?
Answer: “During my internship at Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), I was responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the IT infrastructure. This involved providing technical support to students and staff, resolving network and hardware issues, and ensuring smooth operation of the institution’s systems. Additionally, I played a key role in installing LAN at the Shianda branch, and setting up and maintaining CCTV cameras to enhance security. These tasks allowed me to strengthen my technical troubleshooting skills and work effectively within a team.”
14. Tell us about a time you ran a successful digital marketing campaign.
Answer: “One notable campaign I led was for Mugwenu Doctors, where I managed their digital marketing for six months. I leveraged Google Ads and Facebook Ads to increase visibility, and I optimized their website’s SEO to attract more organic traffic. The campaign resulted in a significant increase in client inquiries and traffic, particularly from targeted audiences. Additionally, I applied my content creation skills by writing optimized blog posts to further drive engagement.”
15. Can you tell us about the development of the IYEF Social Media App?
Answer: “The IYEF Social App is one of my proudest achievements. I developed the app to create a platform that fosters online engagement and community building. It was designed using Java for Android and integrates with Firebase for backend functionality. The app focuses on solving real-world problems by offering features that allow users to connect and share experiences. Developing this app helped me expand my skills in mobile development, user experience design, and problem-solving.”
16. What challenges did you face when installing the LAN and CCTV systems at KMTC?
Answer: “One of the challenges we faced when installing the LAN at KMTC was ensuring coverage throughout the campus. We had to carefully plan the network layout to avoid dead zones and ensure smooth connectivity. When installing the CCTV system, we also had to be meticulous about camera placement to provide optimal security coverage while minimizing blind spots. Despite these challenges, the project was completed successfully and significantly improved both the IT infrastructure and campus security.”

Answer: “I keep myself updated by regularly following industry blogs, participating in online forums, and taking courses on platforms like Udemy and Coursera. I also attend webinars and workshops whenever possible. Recently, I’ve been focusing on learning more about cloud computing and cybersecurity trends, as these areas are becoming increasingly important in the IT industry. Additionally, I constantly practice coding and experiment with new technologies to stay sharp.”

Answer: “My strengths include web development, IT support, and networking. I have a knack for problem-solving, whether it’s designing user-friendly websites or troubleshooting technical issues. However, one area I’m looking to improve on is expanding my expertise in cloud services like AWS and containerization technologies like Docker. Despite the time pressure, I was able to deliver a fully functional, responsive website on time. This experience taught me how to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.”
