I Witnessed An Accident That Scared The Hell Out Of Me, Here Is The Confession
Driving along Nakuru-Nairobi highway yesterday, I witnessed an accident that scared the hell out of me.
A speeding matatu which was overtaking a truck veered off the road onto the opposite side of the highway and landed on the grass, shattering its windscreen as it found its way to the ditch. Luckily no one was hurt. The screeching noise of brakes as other vehicles applied instant brakes to avoid mass collisions was followed by silence. I watched some seemingly shaken passengers holding their heads, others alighted and some were holding their knees. The incident shook me! Someone ought to remind the reckless drivers that they’re not carrying bags of potatoes! They’re ferrying passengers who are not yet done with their lives!
The spike in road accidents must be addressed, carelessness and over-speeding is costing lives!
All drivers need to be extra careful especially in this weather.
You may escape accidents unhurt, but psychologically disturbed.
