Today I am very saddened, although I tried to fight for the dignity and well-being of Lilian, the woman who sent me pictures crying for justice after being assaulted by a soldier Amos Kinyanjui based at Kahawa barracks who was an untouchable.

Through our efforts and a thorough follow-up on the matter, detectives from Kasarani police station tracked down and arrested the suspect Amos Kinyanjui. He was due to attend court on 15/6/2024.

However, I have just been informed that the said ‘victim’ has withdrawn the complaint despite my efforts to have justice not only done but also be seen to be done.

Despite this occurrence, I will continue to fight for women and their wellbeing. I wanted to teach the military guy a lesson ndio awe na heshima na women going forward, but now that the complainant has withdrawn the case ako na bahati sana. Mike Sonko said.
