President William Ruto has appointed Bishop Margaret Wanjiru as the Chairperson of the Nairobi Rivers Commission, with Millicent Omanga as a member.

The commission has been relocated from the Devolution Department in the Office of the Deputy President to the Housing Department in the Ministry of Lands.

Furthermore, the original gazette notice from November 2022 has been revoked.
