A young entrepreneur from Thika has shared how she managed to transform her struggling beauty salon into one of the busiest businesses in her area after months of frustration and very few customers.
According to the young lady, she started the salon with a lot of excitement and hope. She invested the little savings she had into buying salon equipment, beauty products, and renting a small shop in a busy trading center. At the beginning she believed customers would easily come because many people in the area needed beauty services such as hair styling, braiding, and beauty treatments.
However, things did not turn out as she had expected. For many months, very few customers visited her salon, even though other salons nearby seemed to attract many people daily. Some days she would spend the entire day waiting without serving even a single client. This made it difficult for her to pay rent, restock beauty products, and meet her daily expenses.
She explains that the situation became discouraging because she had invested all her savings into the business and feared it might collapse if things did not change. Friends and relatives advised her to remain patient, but as the months passed with little improvement, she started looking for other ways to revive the business.
