Eliud Owalo has unveiled a bold fiscal proposal aimed at reducing the tax burden on Kenyans should he ascend to the presidency.
His plan includes cutting income tax from 35 percent to 20 percent, reducing VAT from 16 percent to 10 percent, and lowering the housing tax from 1.5 percent to 0.5 percent.
Owalo emphasizes that the goal is to eliminate what he describes as punitive taxation and to create a more enabling economic environment for both individuals and businesses.
