Renowned radio presenter Kamene Goro has opened up after months away from the public eye, revealing she was battling a disease that nearly took her life.

“I almost died in January, the window between life and death for me was 12 hours.” Speaking in a recorded clip, she narrated how difficult life was as she battled in silence.

She also took the opportunity to wish Kenyans a Happy New Year, noting that she had not been seen publicly since early January.
