Iranian state media has released images showing the severe damage to a cargo ship now left abandoned and drifting in the waters of the Strait of Hormuz near the Omani town of Khasab. The vessel was reportedly struck by a suicide unmanned surface vehicle (USV) during clashes that took place in the region several days ago.

Initial inspections conducted by maritime rescue teams revealed extensive structural damage to the ship. Authorities also reported the discovery of four deceased crew members found inside the wreckage during the recovery operation, as officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack and assess maritime security in the strategically vital waterway.
