The President of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, has honoured the Senegalese national football team with national awards following their victory at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

President Faye also announced generous rewards to celebrate the team’s success at the tournament. Each player will receive €115,000 in cash and a 1,500 square metre plot of land on the Petite Côte in the Dakar region. Members of the technical crew will also be rewarded with €75,000 each, along with a 1,000 square metre plot of land in the same area.

In addition, a total of €465,000, as well as extra land allocations, will be shared among Ministry officials who travelled with the national team to Morocco during the competition.
