Uganda’s Electoral Commission declares Yoweri Kaguta Museveni winner of the presidential election with 7,946,772 votes (71.65%); extending his rule to nearly 45 years.

Bobi Wine polled 24.72%, Nandala Mafabi 1.88%, Muntu 0.53%, others below 1%.

The Turnout was 52.5% as 11,366,201 voted nationwide.

The vote was marred by an internet blackout, heavy security, and allegations of fraud and intimidation.
