A young woman identified as Karen Lojore tragically died on Saturday night, allegedly following a stampede at Nyayo Stadium during Nigerian artist Asake’s concert.

The event, organized by Tukutane Entertainment, was reportedly marred by poor crowd control, delays at entry gates, and heavy rainfall. These factors are said to have frustrated fans, some of whom forced open a gate, triggering the chaos.

Eyewitness accounts and reports circulating on social media claim that the woman was trampled during the incident, pronounced dead on arrival at hospital, and later transferred to the City Mortuary.

Police have confirmed at least one fatality and dozens of injuries, though some claims of additional deaths remain unverified. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
