▪️President Samia Suluhu Hassan of CCM cast her vote at Chamwino; and she is expected landslide win vs 16 candidates.

▪️Prorests reported in areas such as Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Ubungo, Kariakoo; highways blocked, tires burned, and CCM banners torn.

▪️Protests reduced voter participation; polling stations vandalized or burned. I estimate a Turnout of between 40%-50%

▪️Nationwide Curfew Imposed and to be enforced by police/military in response to violence; mainland-wide

▪️NetBlocks confirmed nationwide restrictions; X (Twitter) blocked; VPNs monitored.
