Tanzania votes today, 29th Oct 2025 in a general election dominated by President Samia Suluhu Hassan, who is seeking a second term under the ruling CCM party.

CCM is effectively running an uncontested race to rubber-stamp President Samia Suluhu’s authoritarian rule.

She jailed & barred key opposition leaders and left only weak contenders on the ballot.
