You won’t believe how my stubborn mother-in-law finally started respecting our decisions at home

I have been married for seven years. When I first joined my husband’s family I was very happy. I thought everything would be smooth because I am a peaceful person. But my happiness did not last long. My mother-in-law was always on my neck. She wanted to control everything in our home. She told me what food to cook, how to dress, even how to talk to my husband. Sometimes she would complain that I was not raised properly. Those words hurt me deeply.

At first, I tried to keep quiet and respect her. My husband also feared to talk back because he did not want to upset his mother. Slowly our home became full of tension. I started thinking maybe I should leave the marriage before things got worse. I prayed every night asking God to help me find peace, but the situation did not change. One afternoon a neighbor who had seen my sadness told me about a traditional and herbal healer called Dr Bokko. She said he helps families find understanding and peace again.

I did not know much about traditional healers, but I decided to call him. When I spoke to Dr Bokko, he listened patiently as I explained everything. His voice was calm and gentle. He told me that sometimes problems with in-laws are not just physical. They can be caused by hidden jealousy, misunderstandings, or even spiritual tension that grows slowly in a home. He said his work is to bring back harmony by using herbal medicine and spiritual guidance that come from nature and tradition.

Dr Bokko prepared special herbs for me and gave simple instructions. He told me to remain respectful, keep my heart clean, and follow what he said carefully. I did exactly that. After a few days, I noticed something small had changed. My mother-in-law spoke to me softly for the first time in months. She even helped me cook that evening. I could not believe it. The following week she started calling me “my daughter” again. She began appreciating the things I do in the house.

Weeks passed and our relationship grew better. Now she visits and we sit together sharing stories and laughter. Even my husband is happier because our home is peaceful. I realized that what Dr Bokko said was true. Sometimes peace needs both action and spiritual balance. I learned that when you seek help from someone who understands both, things start moving in the right direction.

What touched me most is that Dr Bokko is kind and genuine. He does not charge much and he does not judge anyone. For people who live far, he makes it easy because he can deliver his herbal medicine anywhere in Kenya for only Ksh 1,000. You just explain your problem and follow the instructions. Read more.
