A storm has swept through Musyani Village destroying several houses and reportedly leaving around six families without shelter.

According to Justine Sichone, Musyani PTA Chairperson and one of the affected residents, the windy rains blew off the roofs of multiple homes on Monday Afternoon.

Though Chete FM News has not independently verified the exact number of affected families, Nakonde District Commissioner and Disaster Management Chairperson, Marvelous Sikapizye, confirmed that his office has received the report and promptly dispatched officers to assess the damage.

The incident marks the fourth disaster reported in the district this year, following similar incidents at Yolo, Ntewere, and Kamwambe schools, where classrooms and roofs have been destroyed by strong winds.
