Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku has fired a warning shot in the war against deep-rooted corruption at the scandal-prone National Youth Service (NYS).
While officiating a function at the NYS headquarters, the CS ordered the immediate implementation of suspension letters for three senior managers implicated in the alleged misappropriation of public funds.
Ruku has vowed to defend the embattled institution from the ghosts of past mismanagement that have haunted NYS for years.
“We will not allow a few greedy individuals to drag this institution back into shame,” he declared.
