President William Ruto has vowed to shield Kenyans from rogue police officers, following growing outrage over police brutality and impunity after the death of social media influencer Albert Ojwang while in custody.
While overseeing the destruction of 7,000 illegal firearms in Ngong, Ruto issued a strong warning to officers who abuse their power. He emphasized that his administration will not condone violations of human rights by members of the police service.
