The president William Ruto who has been championing the candidature of the former prime minister Hon Raila Odinga held a meeting in Addis Ababa Ethiopia where they discussed various issues with the representatives of the AU. The former prime minister Hon Raila Odinga was happy to attend a meeting where he expressed his interest to the representatives.

“This morning, I joined the Informal Consultation on Africa Union Institutional Reforms meeting hosted by President William Ruto, who doubles up as the AU Reforms champion”, the former prime minister Raila Odinga posted.

“It is imperative that Africa becomes organised and builds the necessary synergy to tackle the challenges that face the continent. To achieve this crucial objective, the reform agenda of the African Union institutions must be thorough and consultative.

The reforms are aimed at making the institutions of the African Union more accountable, efficient and effective in serving Member States and, indeed, the people of the continent.

As the Champion of the African Union Institutional Reforms, addressed the Permanent Representatives Committee comprising African ambassadors to the AU, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia”, president William Ruto posted on his Facebook page.
