Following the recent conviction of Mr. Bowman Lusambo by the Luanshya Magistrate Court for the offence of unlawful wounding, which was rendered in absentia, a bench warrant was issued by the court to ensure his immediate apprehension and subsequent presentation before the court, as mandated by law.

In adherence to this bench warrant, the Zambia Police Service has today, November 4, 2024, taken Mr. Lusambo to Luanshya, as prescribed. This action underscores the Zambia Police Service’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that court directives are followed meticulously.

The public is urged to remain calm as due process is conducted. Updates on further proceedings will be provided as necessary.
