Albert Ojwang, a teacher and active voice on X, has tragically lost his life under circumstances too painful to accept and too suspicious to ignore.

According to his heartbroken father, Albert was arrested by DCI officers yesterday at 2PM at their home in Homa Bay in front of his parents and family.

He was taken to Nairobi and held at Central Police Station. Allegedly, he wasn’t booked. He wasn’t told the reason for his arrest.

That night, his family and friends were denied access to see him.

This morning, his father arrived at the station by 7 AM, only to be kept waiting for hours. At 10AM, the officers finally told him: Albert was dead. They claimed he “injured himself” in the cell and died while being rushed to Mbagathi Hospital.

Now, the only child in the family is gone. His father broke down while narrating this cruel ordeal. A son taken in front of his family.
