The Ministry of Mining has authorized the use of fireworks for New Year celebrations under strict guidelines:

—Permits must be obtained from State Department for Mining offices.
—Use allowed only at authorized venues (clubs, hotels, churches, sports grounds).
—Fireworks must be sourced from licensed dealers.
—Shells limited to 4-inch caliber in urban areas (unless exempted).
—Only qualified, sober individuals can handle displays.
