DCI confirms arresting Kanyenyaini MCA Grace Nduta, stating that evidence shows she spent the entire night with Juja MP George Koimburi in a bar when he was reportedly abducted.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Grace Nduta Wairimu popularly known as “Hon. City”was not abducted as earlier claimed.
Instead, investigators say she was in the company of MP Koimburi at Ellis Bar in Kiganjo on the night of May 25, the same night Koimburi was allegedly abducted. This directly contradicts her initial claim that she was in Kangema at the time.
“The arrest is part of an ongoing investigation,” the DCI said, revealing that digital evidence, CCTV footage, and witness accounts confirmed her presence at the bar throughout the night.
Detectives now believe the abduction was stage-managed, raising serious concerns about possible misuse of public office and manipulation of public emotion.
As social media was flooded with claims of her being picked up by unknown persons, the DCI has firmly stated those reports were false and meant to divert public attention.
The probe into the events continues, with both Nduta and Koimburi expected to face further questioning and possibly charges.
This development has sparked public outrage, with citizens demanding transparency and accountability from leaders entrusted with public confidence.
If proven true, this incident adds to a worrying trend of theatrics in politics at the expense of truth and the taxpayer.
