The Commission for University Education (CUE) has announced that Northwestern Christian University, operating in Kenya, is not accredited (not approved)
This follows after the award of honorary degrees for lawmakers Oscar Sudi, Didmus Barasa, and John Waluke by Northwestern Christian University sparked an uproar from professional bodies.
The commission informs kenyans that awarding of academic qualifications by unaccredited institutions is a direct violation of the Universities Act, CAP 210 which prohibits the provision of university education without accreditation.
CUE adds that it’s investigating the degrees awarded by the university.
