Mtwapa, Mombasa, was thrown into confusion on Sunday morning after worshippers attending a church service fled in panic when a large snake slithered into the sanctuary and curled itself at the altar. The shocking incident disrupted the service as faithfuls screamed and rushed out of the church for safety.

Witnesses say the strange occurrence felt unnatural. The serpent appeared moments after the pastor had started leading prayers, sending shockwaves across the congregation. “It was not an ordinary snake. The way it appeared and settled right at the altar made many of us believe it was sent with evil intentions,” said one church member who declined to be named. To read more Click here.
