Broiler Chicken Farming Process:

1.Housing:

A well-ventilated and clean space is crucial for the healthy growth of broilers. Housing should protect the birds from harsh weather conditions while maintaining optimal temperatures. Adequate spacing is important to avoid overcrowding and stress among the chickens.

2.Feeding:

Broilers require nutrient-rich feed for fast growth. The feeding process is typically divided into three phases:
Starter feed: High-protein feed given from day 1 to 21.
Grower feed: This feed helps in muscle and bone development, given from day 22 to 35.
Finisher feed: Low-protein feed that increases body weight, given from day 36 to slaughter.
Water should always be fresh and readily available to avoid dehydration.

3.Health Management:

Vaccination is key to preventing diseases that can decimate the flock. Common vaccinations include those for Newcastle disease, Gumboro, and Infectious Bronchitis.
Maintaining proper hygiene by regularly cleaning the chicken coop and feeding equipment helps in disease control. Additionally, antibiotics may be administered to prevent infections when necessary.

4.Lighting:

Adequate lighting is essential, especially during the first few weeks, to stimulate feed consumption. A 24-hour light schedule is usually recommended for the first few weeks.
