The deputy president Rigathi Gachagua today held a meeting with leaders from Kiambu county where they discussed various issues including the illicit brew. “This afternoon, Members of the County Assembly of Kiambu, led by Speaker Charles Thiong’o, called on me at the Official Residence in Karen, Nairobi, to update me on the progress of the Alcoholic Drinks Control Bill, 2024, which they passed this month.

Upon enactment, the law will provide a legal foundation and pillar in a successful war against illicit brews in Kiambu County as we work towards sobering our Nation for development.
