What Francis Atwoli Said About Minimum Wage Increase

Central Organization of Trade Unions secretary general Francis Atwoli has welcomed the move to increase the minimum wage across various sectors to 6 per cent.

Atwoli said the increase is a significant step toward improving the livelihood of workers.

He revealed that it comes after a formal request made by COTU (K) during the Labour Day celebrations earlier this year.

Atwoli called upon the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection to ensure compliance with the increase. He vowed that as COTU (K), they will continue to ensure that the rights and welfare of all unionised workers are constantly enhanced.
