The Wiper Party has issued a strongly worded statement dismissing claims by the ODM that its leader, Raila Odinga’s health, has been the subject of misinformation allegedly linked to Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
In the statement signed by Wiper Sec Gen Sen. Shakila Aballa, the party describes ODM’s accusations as “political theatre” and a sign of desperation from a movement that “has lost its moral compass and political relevance.”
Wiper insists that H.E. Kalonzo Musyoka harbors no ill will toward Mr. Odinga, citing their shared history of cooperation and mutual respect. Any suggestion to the contrary, the party argues, is “malicious, reckless, and utterly false.”
The statement accuses ODM of attempting to distract the public from internal divisions and the failings of the so-called Broad-Based Government it supports. It also criticizes ODM for aligning with a regime accused of repressing Gen Z protesters and abducting online critics, calling such actions “shameful and unforgivable.”
Wiper further notes that Raila Odinga’s failed bid for the African Union Commission Chairmanship was not caused by Kalonzo Musyoka but by diplomatic missteps and a lack of strategy from the Kenyan government. The party calls ODM’s narrative a revision of history aimed at shifting blame.
Finally, Wiper asserts that it will not allow Kalonzo Musyoka to be dragged into ODM’s “self-inflicted political decay,” reaffirming its commitment to justice, truth, and a Kenya that values liberty over “expediency, money, and power.”
