Life has a way of surprising us in the most painful and unexpected moments. My name is Sarah, and I come from Jinja, Uganda. For most of my life, I believed in hard work, prayer, and doing good to others. I was raised by my grandmother after losing my parents at a young age, so kindness was something I held close to my heart. It is for that reason that when I met a young orphaned girl on the streets of Kampala, I felt it was my duty to take her in and raise her like a daughter.
