
I never thought I would be the kind of woman who would struggle with my husband over money. When we got married, everything seemed perfect. We loved each other deeply, we laughed together, and we promised to support one another. But as months turned into years, I realized something was not working the way I imagined. My husband, James, worked very hard in Kampala, and he always earned a good salary. Yet, every month, the same story would repeat itself. By the time I asked him for money to buy food, pay bills, or even take care of the children, he would say he had already used most of it.
At first, I tried to understand. I thought maybe the responsibilities were too many.
